This is not just a collection of bird songs, like some other CDs - this set includes instructional narration with each track. The narrator tells you things to listen for and compares calls to other similar calls.

The birds are groups on the CDs by similarity of song. A booklet is also included for reference. This CD set is an excellent learning tool for both beginning and more advanced birders. This is the Eastern and Central North America edition. There is also a Western edition available.
